Ingredients and directions

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Carlton Farms Deschutes Brewery Bacon Gouda Sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups Cranberry Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 8 oz Gouda Cheese, cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 1/2 cup Pickled Jalapeno slices
  • 1 teaspoon chopped Thyme
  • Toothpicks

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet or cast iron to medium-high heat.

  2. Cook sausage slices for 2-3 minutes and then flip to brown the other side.

Remove sausages from the pan and set aside.

  3. Add cranberry sauce to the pan and heat using a spatula to scrape up any cooked on pieces.

Add mustard and stir into cranberry sauce.

Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to warm and thicken slightly.

  4. Remove from heat and either spread cranberry sauce onto a serving platter or leave it in the skillet if you want save plates and serve it that way.

  5. Stab each cheese cube with a toothpick and then skewer a sausage slice onto bottom and place it on top of the cranberry sauce.

Repeat with remaining cheese and sausages pieces.

Top each one with a slice of pickled jalapeno and a sprinkle of chopped thyme and serve.
